Taylor Frankie Paul judge makes unexpected change in star’s custody of 2-year-old son as she battles ex Dakota in court
THE JUDGE on Taylor Frankie Paul’s recent court case has made a sudden change in custody for her two-year-old son, Ever.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that Taylor’s parenting time has been expanded, though just incrementally, by a Utah judge overseeing her and ex Dakota Mortensen’s mutual protective order cases.
However, the judge is waiting for additional information from the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) investigation to make a more concrete determination at the June 1st hearing, per the filing.
The judge has been “persuaded that the domestic violence and substance abuse assessment reports being undertaken by both parties as part of the DCFS safety plan, might provide valuable information to assist the court in formulating a longer term time-sharing plan,” according to the court doc.
Taylor’s time with their son, Ever, 2, was expanded to just 12 hours a week from the initial 8, with the exception of Mother’s Day, and the visits will remain supervised during daytime hours.
“Given the age of the child, Mother’s parent-time preferably should be exercised in three (3) four-hour blocks, dependent upon supervisor availability, which would allow for more frequent visits per week and fewer days in between parent-time sessions,” the order read.

It continued that the judge “views this as important to maintaining appropriate parent-child bonding for this very young child.”
Taylor was also granted a full 11.5 hours on Mother’s Day, from 9am to 8:30pm.
As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Taylor and Dakota now have three-year protective orders against each other following a slew of new allegations of domestic violence stemming from incidents that transpired after the MomTok star’s arrest and conviction in 2023.
After a two-day incident in February of this year, both leveled claims of domestic violence against each other.

Taylor and Dakota are scheduled to return to court on June 1.
In the last hearing, the judge gave both stars a serious reality check about their responsibilities as parents.
He told them they need to find a way to work together because they are stuck with each other for life.
He pointed out that their two-year-old is watching how they handle conflict, and this environment is creating a cycle of violence that could impact the child for generations.
The judge was particularly critical of Dakota for recording their physical altercations.
He didn’t buy the excuse that Dakota was just trying to preserve evidence, suggesting instead that his actions were more about control than the well-being of their child.
The judge described Dakota’s behavior as “calculating” and “manipulative,” while framing Taylor’s outbursts as “reactive.”
On the legal front, neither party is facing charges for the incidents that happened in February.
The Draper City Attorney decided not to move forward because the stories from both sides didn’t line up.
Similarly, the Salt Lake District Attorney’s Office finished its investigation into Taylor and chose not to press charges.
The drama also dealt a temporary blow to their professional lives.
Filming for the new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was put on hold in March when the allegations first surfaced, but the cameras started rolling again late last month.
Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette was scrapped in the fallout.
While the rest of the cast is back at work, Taylor hasn’t filmed any scenes yet.
As for Dakota, insiders say he won’t be appearing on the show at all this season.
